As a seasoned Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photographer it’s become one of my favourite London register offices – you’ve made a great choice! It’s an iconic building that’s seen tens of thousands of happy couples tie the knot over the decades. From the stunning setting and atmospheric rooms to the lovely staff and registrars, you’ll spend a delightful hour getting married here. After your ceremony the famous steps and iconic columns make the perfect setting for your confetti and group shots, and you’re spoiled for choice of local reception venues, such as The Harcourt, or further afield like The Orange in Pimlico, or The Ivy Tower Bridge. For now here’s some of my favourite OMTH photos, then keep scrolling for lots more info about planning a Marylebone wedding. Highlights from four of my favourite Old Marylebone Town Hall weddings, including receptions at The Orange in Pimlico, The Ivy Tower Bridge, and The Harcourt. A lot of couples celebrate with drinks and lunch afterwards and Marylebone has easy access to a wealth of wonderful venues. Here's a few of the lovely places they've taken me to. Website: https://theharcourt.com Directions from Old Marylebone Town Hall The Harcourt is an elegant venue for a post-wedding celebration, about ten minutes walk from Old Marylebone Town Hall. It offers a choice of private rooms for your reception, and some of the best cocktails in the area, created by a Swedish mixologist to perfectly complement their menu created by a Finnish chef. Website: https://www.cubitthouse.co.uk/the-orange-pimlico/ The Orange in Pimlico is about 10 minutes in a black cab. They have a beautiful private dining room upstairs that seats 40-ish guests, as well as a separate lounge room and access to a small rooftop terrace. Great food and drink, and great staff. Website: https://ivycollection.com/restaurants/the-ivy-tower-bridge/ Address: One Tower Bridge, Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2AA The Ivy Tower Bridge combines their world-famous British brasserie style and menu with spectacular views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. Their private dining room on the first floor has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides and can be arranged with one long table or several round ones. Website: https://ivycollection.com/restaurants/the-ivy-market-grill/ Address: 1a Henrietta St, London WC2E 8PS The Ivy Market Grill brings the familiar luxury of The Ivy to Covent Garden, with a pair of well appointed private dining rooms downstairs. It feels opulent, warm, and intimate all at once, a special way to spend the afternoon. Website: https://www.doylecollection.com/hotels/the-marylebone-hotel Directions from Old Marylebone Town Hall The Marylebone is just 10-15 minutes walk from Old Marylebone Town Hall and the perfect location for your wedding day. Start with prep in your suite before the wedding, and come back to celebrate in style in one of their private dining rooms, decked out with marble-topped counters and beautiful wood panelling, alongside luscious palm trees, curated artworks and designer furniture – all basking in natural daylight, every wedding photographer’s favourite kind of light! Website: https://london-portman.nobuhotels.com/ Address: 22 Portman Square, London W1H 7BG Nobu Hotel Portman Square is just ten minutes easy walk from Old Marylebone Town Hall. They have private rooms perfectly sized for an intimate celebration with your close family and friends, and offer world-renowned Japanese cuisine and hospitality. Choose 90 minutes if you just want the ceremony and some group shots, or go hourly for total flexibility. My three-hour minimum is perfect to capture reception drinks at a nearby venue, or you can add even more time to include getting ready before the ceremony, for example, or speeches during your meal. Ideal for small weddings with just a few guests. I start half an hour before the ceremony for arrivals, then after confetti and group shots on the Old Marylebone Town Hall steps there’s about 15-20 minutes left to make some gorgeous portraits under the columns or in the nearby mews. The best option if you’re celebrating afterwards, and you’ll get a lot more lovely candid photos in your gallery. The extra time is just right for half an hour or so of drinks, a speech or two, and the first course of your lunch. If you’d like me to stay longer just add time by the hour. How will you enjoy your Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photos in, say, ten, twenty, fifty years from now? The photos we print are the ones we enjoy most often, and printing your favourites in a beautiful custom-made book brings them to life like nothing else. The most exquisite book you’ll ever own, nothing compares to holding your very own handcrafted wedding album in your hands and leafing through the pages. All your favourite photos across at least 10 lay-flat spreads of thick fine art paper, bound by hand in linen or leather, with your choice of end-paper colour, and engraved, debossed or foil-laid cover text. This is the legacy piece your photos deserve, destined to become a family heirloom. Available in 10×10″ and 12×12″ for your main album, with a 6×6 version available as a duplicate copy for parents. This affordable premium album is ideal for smaller Old Marylebone Town Hall weddings. They start with 10 lay-flat spreads of thick art-white paper, bound in leatherette hardback with a laser-etched or printed cover title. This option comes in 10×10 only for your main album, with an 8×8 version available as a duplicate copy for parents. My package for Marylebone wedding photography starts at around £600 including everything shown here – you can find more details on my pricing page. Pricing and advance booking availability varies seasonally; we only open spring and summer weekends for short weddings around 8-10 weeks in advance, but all other dates are available to book any time – just get in touch with a few details and we’ll take it from there. A pre-booking consultation on Zoom, and plenty of help later with timings and group shots etc. Reportage-style photography for as long as you need, plus group shots and portraits. A private online gallery with all your finished photos, and a built-in museum-quality print shop. Download all your finished photos in two sizes: high-res for archiving, and low-res for sharing online. The price always includes a pre-wedding chat on the phone or Zoom, photography, travel to and from London, editing, a private gallery to share, a set of digitals for your full personal use; there’s usually around 100 photos from a 90 minute booking, and around 200 from a three hour booking. And there’s 20% off any albums in your package when you book, too. Absolutely. You can order long-lasting museum-quality prints from your gallery, and custom-designed books of your favourites directly from me, any time. And you’re welcome to make your own prints using your digitals, of course. Your private online gallery of finished photos is usually ready 3-4 weeks later, depending how busy we are that month. You’ll be able to enjoy it on a computer, tablet or smartphone. All your guests can download web-friendly digitals for free, and the bride and groom will be able to download one full set of high resolution print-ready digital files too. If you’d like to have some it’s no problem. With a 90 minute booking there’s time for a few key group shots and a few portraits on the Town Hall steps. With longer bookings we can do more shots at a different location. The simple answer: bring umbrellas! We can still make lovely group shots on the Old Marylebone Town Hall steps under umbrellas – matching white umbrellas look great! There may be an opportunity to do a couple of group shots and a few couple portraits on the staircase inside but it depends on their schedule that day – give them a call to ask what they’ll allow inside if there’s heavy rain. First get in touch with a few details and we’ll have a quick chat by phone or Zoom video call. After that we’ll know if I’m right for you, and I’ll put together a package with everything you want. I’ll send you booking forms and my contract, and request a non-refundable first payment of 50% of the package total. The final balance is due four weeks before the wedding. If you like my work I’d love to hear from you. Tell me a bit about you and your wedding and I’ll get back to you personally as soon as I can, usually within 24 hours (Mon – Fri). Thanks!
