"In the run up to the big day, he made the process so smooth and easy. You could tell Owen truly loves his work and is passionate about what he does. Cannot wait to see the full album! We would highly recommend Owen and give you more than 5* if we could!"

For an ‘all day’ wedding I’ll be with you up to ten hours. We can spend that time however you want but 99% of the time I’m there from pre-wedding prep to the evening party.

For me that’s the only way to tell the whole story – be there for all of it! Your story starts with getting ready in the morning, so that’s when I’ll start, and stay with you until the party’s in full swing that evening. Ten hours usually covers it but you can book me for longer if you want.

For smaller weddings, again we’ll spend the time however you want.

So if you want a bit longer for pre-wedding prep we can do that. Or if you want to spend half an hour in Regent’s Park, say, making portraits we can do that too. If you’d like me to come with you to your celebrations I can finish after the opening toast, or stay until after dessert for the last speech, or even longer – whatever you like.

Every wedding is different, but for an all-day wedding I usually deliver at least 500 finished images. For smaller weddings there’s usually at least 70-80 photos per hour, often more. For engagement sessions there’s normally at least 30-40.

It really depends what you’ve got planned, how many guests there’ll be, etc. But there’s no limit, your gallery and downloadable zip file includes the best photo from every moment I catch, all edited in my personal style.

When everything’s finished you’ll receive a link to a private gallery website, where you’ll be able to view all the finished photos on just about any device with a web browser. You’ll also receive a downloadable digital archive of all the edited photos as as high resolution JPGs, with a license for unlimited personal use.

You can share the gallery link with whoever you like so your family and friends can relive your memories even if they weren’t there. It’ll be online for at least six months and then you can buy an ‘online backup extension’ which adds another 12 months, if you want.

There’s also a print shop built into the gallery where you can order archive-quality prints in all shapes and sizes, as well as various frames and other goodies. You’re much more likely to enjoy your favourites more often when they’re somewhere you can see them every day – even just stuck to your fridge!

I don’t supply your photos on USB sticks any more. These are cute but they tend to get tossed in a drawer and forgotten about. Plus they’re prone to failing without warning. So I spend your money on more important things like an extra meeting with me before the big day, for example.

You bet I do albums – they’re the best bit! I think wedding photographs without an album are like ice cream without a spoon, gin without tonic, movies without popcorn. Printed photos truly are the best way to cherish your favourite photos for decades to come, and a well made album is something you’ll never regret investing in. So if your photos will mean anything to you in years to come, please don’t skip the album.

You can order your album from me any time before or after your wedding, with a handy discount for ordering before. There’s a choice of finishes to fit all budgets, super-discounted mini copies for parents, and every main album includes design by me with feedback from you until it’s just right.

Absolutely. I think even if you’re not that into posed photos it’s nice to have all of your favouritest people in one group, and I bet your parents and grandparents will love them.

But don’t forget the best photos happen back at the party so I highly recommend sticking to around 8-10 groups, and I’m happy to help you work out the best groups in advance so it’s really easy on the day.

I don’t offer wedding videography I’m afraid. I love the power of photography so that’s what I specialise in. Even just setting up a camera to record the ceremony would be too much of a distraction from my responsibilities as your photographer, so I stick to what I love most. But if you’d like professional video of your wedding day I can recommend some very skilled wedding film producers I’ve worked with before.

Travel in London is included in my prices. Anywhere outside London it mainly depends how long it might take me to get there, and what delays I might encounter.

As a very general rule of thumb, anywhere more than 40-ish miles from Kingston upon Thames may require me to travel the night before just to ensure avoiding any travel delays on the day, as it’s all too easy to get stuck in two hours of stand-still traffic between cities, especially on weekends.

But it varies – for example Gaynes Park is technically 70 miles away, and about 100-120 minutes drive, but it’s almost all on the M25 so the risk of hitting crippling delays making me 1-2 hours later is lower than driving to the Cotswolds or Devon, for example. But, it’s not that much lower – the M25 can be snarled up very easily. Let’s have a look and see what we think.

If we need to add travel and accommodation I’m happy to sort it out myself, and add the expenses plus VAT to the final invoice.

Yes, I have Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance up to five million pounds, with a company that specialises in photographers. If your venue requires documentation just ask them to get in touch with me.

Please note that my Public Liability Insurance is not there to cover you if things go wrong with your wedding. For this reason I recommend you consider taking out your own wedding insurance policy. I don’t recommend any particular wedding insurance providers.

Yes, all my prices include VAT and your final invoice will include my VAT details.

Charging VAT means I only receive about 83% of what I charge you, before expenses and income tax etc, with that extra chunk going straight to the VAT man. It’s an unfortunate side effect of having been fairly busy in the last few years, but I try to pack as much value as possible into my packages so you get your money’s worth.

It’s only happened once in 15 years, thanks to COVID-19, and I was able to replace my services with an excellent wedding photographer from a network I’m part of.

So if I’m struck down before your wedding and won’t be able to make it I’ll ask around to see who’s available and send you their details so you can decide if you’d like them to replace me. You’re not obligated to accept my suggestions – if you want to make your own arrangements I’ll refund you in full.

Cancellations and postponements are handled on a case-by-case basis.

It’s always upsetting if you need to cancel so thankfully it’s only happened once. Our policy is that we do not refund the ‘reservation fee’ part of your package fees under any circumstances.

This is because these costs at minimum go towards the work we spend preparing for your wedding (calls, planning, camera maintenance, etc) and also need to cover the costs of turning down literally every other enquiry we receive for your slot after you’ve booked. The closer to the big day the more work we’ll have put in and the more enquiries we’ll have turned down so there may be further fees payable upon cancellation, up to the full cost of your wedding photography itself in the final few weeks.

I consider a ‘postponement’ to be when you need to change the wedding date for some reason and have a new date (or dates) in mind. If you don’t have a new date in mind it’s really just a cancellation.

Ideally if you need to postpone you should consult with all your suppliers about new dates before you confirm anything. Otherwise you could be on the hook for a lot of cancellation fees if any suppliers aren’t available when you get round to letting them know the date has definitely changed.

If I’m available on the new date I’ll try to minimise the costs of postponing but it really depends on the original date, the new date, and how much notice you’re able to give me.

Unfortunately I can’t afford to offer discounts like this, I’m sorry.

I wish I could, but factoring in the many, many hours I’ll spend on your wedding photography experience (at least 40+ hours for a full day, at least 6+ for a smaller wedding) I’m afraid I don’t have enough of a margin to offer these sorts of discounts. I’m very sorry, but I’ll certainly try to offer some extra value in other ways.

So... what's next?

If you like what you see get in touch with your date and venue and if I’m available I’ll send you a link to my full Investment Guide. If that looks good we can arrange a time to have a chat and take it from there.

I hope to meet you soon!
