Dave and Kelly commissioned me to spend a few hours with them photographing all those lovely candid moments from their wedding. They’re my favourite photos to make as I know they’ll mean so much in years to come and keep everyone’s own memories alive.
We started at their home in Twickenham as they had a few pre-game drinks and nibbles with family and friends (dad laid on a fantastic spread!) and took cars over to York House for the ceremony. Then we took a wander through the gardens to make portraits and enjoy a few more (plastic) glasses of bubbly before heading on to The Dysart for lunch.
The Dysart is a gorgeous little restaurant set a little back from the main road at the bottom of Star And Garter Hill, near Richmond Park. It was my first time there and I loved the simple, homely interior decor, the kind and friendly staff, and of course the food – because yes, I tried a couple of canapés, rude not to!
They have an upstairs room and balcony perfect for an intimate private dining experience, and I spent a lovely hour with everyone snapping candid moments and chatting about our home towns and the local area, before leaving them all to enjoy the meal as the first course arrived.
If you like my candid documentary-style wedding photography and you’re planning your own London wedding (or know of someone who is) I’d love to have a chat about it.
Popular dates are often booked a year in advance so get in touch to check my availability as soon as possible, and we’ll take it from there. Cheers!
