As a London wedding photographer I meet a lot of other suppliers, from wedding planners and florists to bands and magicians. Picking great people that everyone loves working with can make a huge difference to your wedding, which has a positive effect on the photos too! Adele from Made By Adele is one of those people – Adele’s cakes are the best I’ve ever tasted (to me she’s like the Willy Wonka of cake-making) and she’s lovely to work with too, so I’ve been recommending her ever since.
Operating out of her highly-rated micro-kitchen in Hampton, and the deserving winner of two stars at the Great Taste Awards in 2023, Adele started Made By Adele in 2020 following a long career in the food development industry. She’s since built a strong name for exquisite cakes and cupcakes, and is in constant demand for her incredible hand-crafted creations. I first met her in 2023 at a beautiful Chiswick House wedding she supplied the cake for, making some photos of it that she loved so much they were the first photos she hadn’t taken herself to ever appear on her Instagram feed – which is very flattering!
I got try a slice of that cake later on and it absolutely blew my mind. I’ve tasted a lot of wedding cakes but this one defied expectations with delicious caramel flavours I’ve never encountered before – just take a look at her current flavour menu which should give you some idea of the thought that goes into these incredible concoctions! I later learned every tier was an entirely different flavour of which I’d only tried one, so struck by FOMO I picked up a box or two of Adele’s cupcakes too. Now these were supposed to be for sharing with friends but, uhhh… yeah I ended up scoffing most of them myself in the end – although not before snapping a bunch of pics because they’re just so beautiful.
