Sarah and Saeed celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary with a party at Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham – one of my favourite London wedding venues – and invited me along to capture it all in candid documentary-style photography, just like I would for a wedding day.

We actually started with an ‘engagement session’, also known as a pre-wedding session or a couples portraits session, for an hour or so before guests started arriving. It had been a week of wet and windy weather but we got really lucky on the day with some gorgeous sunshine just as we stepped out into the gardens. And then their wee boy joined us for a few photos too, and I got one of my favourites of the whole day as he ran across the grounds straight into his dad’s arms.

Later on in the evening Sarah changed from her wedding dress into another lovely gown, but we started the portraits in that gown so she could be in her wedding dress for when guests arrived.

Here’s some of my favourites from their celebration! If you like my natural, unposed style of wedding photography and you’re planning your own London wedding or destination wedding (or know of someone who is) I’d love to have a chat about it.

Popular dates are often booked at least a year in advance so get in touch to check my availability as soon as possible, and we’ll take it from there.
