London wedding venue
One of the best parts of being a London and destination wedding photographer is getting to make beautiful photos in all sorts of wedding venues all over the world, and today I’m shining a spotlight on a lovely church called Holy Cross RC Church, in Parson’s Green, where I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a couple of Fulham weddings already.
Although from the outside the church has a simple, modern feel to it, built with bricks rather than the ancient granite blocks of somewhere like All Saints Church in Fulham, step inside and the beauty of Holy Cross RC Church as a wedding venue comes across in the gorgeous white walls and columns, the rich wooden pews, the big windows letting daylight stream in, and that absolutely GORGEOUS wooden-beamed ceiling.
Holy Cross RC Church is also situated very close to Fulham Palace, one of SW London’s best venues for a wedding reception, and certainly in my own top ten London wedding venues. It’s just five minutes by car from Holy Cross to Fulham Palace, so your guests won’t go thirsty for long, and we can head straight to Fulham Palace’s walled garden for your portraits.
I’ve photographed a couple of weddings at Holy Cross RC Church, but sometimes when clients ask if I’ve photographed a wedding at their venue before the answer is “No – but that’s a good thing!” For me working at a new venue means new inspiration, and new photos that are entirely, uniquely yours. It’s part of the skill of a good London wedding photographer to be able to shoot almost anywhere and make those photos capture everything that makes the wedding yours, even if I’ve never been there before. Although if I’ve never worked at a venue before I’ll usually visit in advance just to make sure there’s no little surprises on the day!
