This was my first time photographing a Morden Park House wedding, surprising as I’ve lived in SW London for over a decade. But now I see what I’ve been missing: what a wonderfully picturesque venue for a small intimate wedding ceremony, whether you’ve invited a handful of guests or a few dozen. And I’m happy to say I’ve been back several times since!
On a fine day you can get married in a gorgeous gazebo at the end of a vine-lined walkway to the end of the garden, or they have several rooms inside, beautifully appointed with plenty of natural light – my favourite kind.
Afterwards, Lizzie and Sen had spied a spot for group shots with the park and Morden Park House itself in the background, and then the three of us went for a walk around the park to make a few more creative and romantic portraits of the two of them, before heading into Kingston to celebrate with all their family and friends.
Congratulations Lizzie & Sen! Thank you so much for having me along to Merton Register Office to make your wedding photos – there’s plenty more to come, but as a little surprise gift I hope this handful of my favourites so far keeps you going.
