Merton Register Office | Morden Park House Wedding Photography
Morden Park House is one of SW London’s best venues for a small wedding, and one of my favourites thanks to the lovely rooms, gorgeous garden, and nearby green space for group shots and portraits. So if you’re looking for a Morden Park House wedding photographer and like my style, I’d love to be there for you.
The Georgian manor house is the home of Merton Register Office and can cater to everything from elopements with just a couple of witnesses, up to larger ceremonies with 100 guests. Built in 1770 it’s now a Grade II listed building and home to three beautifully appointed ceremony rooms plus a beautiful garden and courtyard with a gazebo at the end of a vine-lined walkway.
If you’re planning a small wedding at Morden Park House and you like the look of my photography, I’d love to have a chat with you. Get in touch via my contact form and let me know all about, and if the date’s still free we’ll set up time for a chat.
For now, here’s some of my favourites from recent weddings I’ve photographed at Morden Park House, and then keep scrolling for more info about the venue itself, and some options for post-ceremony celebrations nearby. Cheers!

About Morden Park House
For small weddings you have the choice of the Sheridan Room, (seen in some of my photos below) a bright and airy room which can seat up to 30 guests as you get married in front of the French windows that look onto Morden Park itself; or the Lord Nelson room which can seat up to 40 guests.
For larger indoor weddings there’s the Ewart Room on the top floor. Situated at the summit of the beautiful staircase, this room seats up to 100 guests in a wide open space that can also fit a string quartet in, if you fancy it! You’ll find a few photos from this room in the gallery below too.
And finally if you’d like an outdoor wedding, from May to September you can choose the beautiful courtyard and gazebo, accessible through the trellis-archway and along the path down to the end of the walled garden. There’s also the option of a marquee which can seat up to 100 guests.
But the best part, especially from my point of view as a photographer is that on a fine day you’ll be bathed in wonderful natural light pretty much whichever space you choose for your wedding ceremony. Although, for my money the Sheridan Room has the best light for small ceremonies, I love it!
Where to go after your wedding
If all you want is photography of the wedding ceremony itself then I have a 90 minute package available that covers arrivals through to group shots and portraits. But most couples planning a celebration nearby afterwards will book for three hours or more, and you’re spoiled for choice as to where to go next.
My most recent Morden Park House weddings have taken me to Kingston Riverside, Richmond, and Wimbledon Village for drinks and lunch after the ceremony. I can highly recommend The Fire Stables in Wimbledon, and The Dysart in Richmond in particular.
